The challenge
The client had an established PHP and Laravel application that required an engineer who could understand the existing system, make changes safely and continue development without disrupting working functionality.
Engineering approach
I approached the engagement as production support rather than a rebuild. Existing flows were reviewed first, then features and fixes were implemented with attention to compatibility, maintainability and regression risk.
What I worked on
Existing codebase review and technical diagnosis
Feature development inside established architecture
Bug fixing and root cause investigation
Database related application changes
Production support and maintenance
Git based change management
Outcome
The client received ongoing Laravel support that respected the existing product and reduced the risk of unnecessary rewrites.
This case study intentionally avoids invented client metrics or confidential business details. The focus is the engineering work and product problem.
